It's so hard for me not to keep these for my little squeaker... but I'm letting 'em go! I intentionally made them too big for her so I wouldn't keep them!! hehe

On My Needles....
I am almost done a pair of modified Budgie Bloomers. I am now offering "hip skirtys" instead of the full skirts! The skirty starts just above the gusset! This way the upper section is just one layer and it won't be as bulky as a skirty over longies!
I just finished the skirty and the first bloomer ruffle and once I'm done the 2nd ruffles and i-cord, they'll be ready to list!
Size is approximately:
Waist = 17" Rise = 18"
Inseam = 10"
This photo was taken with my phone, so it's not the best quality! I'll be taking better photos when I list them!

Knitting... Soon... Custom anyone?
***DECEMBER SALE... 10% OFF ANY CUSTOMS!***
I just ordered some Cestari Fine Merino in"blue pansy", "dahlia red" and "babies breath", which are similar to these, and will be knitting up a longie version soon! If you are interested in a custom, please let me know, or I'll just end up knitting something cute to sell! :)
If you'd like any other customs, please check out the great Cestari colors available! I will special order any colors you are interested in!
CESTARI FINE MERINO COLOR CHART
You can view my current basic sizing and pricing guidelines below this post, and remember I am always willing to negotiate and work out partial custom trades too :)
The longie version I normally do has the striping underneath a ruffle by the knee, and the speckles on the skirty are an extra $10 because of all the extra time it takes :)
My little girl is 36 weeks old now and had all the wool she needs so I'm ready to knit so other babies can be as squishy and soft as my little one! Here's the Squeakin' Cheeks namesake herself! ;-)

This Week's Contest!
I'm doing things a little differently this week :)
I am SO excited that I made it to almost 100 "likes" on my Squeakin' Cheeks Facebook page and I have a few new followers on my blog! Thank you all for your help!!
I'll keep this short and sweet (mainly because "Cheeks" isn't quite Squeakin' this morning... she's teething and if I was to rename my store today it would be "Fussin' Cheeks")...
**Rules to follow after the prize listing below:
This week, along with a free copy of my "Budgie Bloomer Pattern" (if you click that, it will bring you to last week's contest that explains the pattern) I will be sending (via snail mail) a little fun bunch of goodies. I've only decided on a couple things so far, including a couple little "Mother Mabel" Made in Maine things (since I'm from Maine!), a handknit dishcloth, and who knows what else I'll throw in there! I LOVE giveaways!! Blessing others with fun little freebies can get addicting!!! Once I've decided on the care package, I'll post a photo here for the winner to see before it's mailed out!
SO.... here are the rules!
Rules of this week's contest: (you must be on Facebook to enter!)
#1 Become a follower of this blog (on the right sidebar) (if you are already a follower, "Hi Follower!... please move on to #2")
#2 "Like our Facebook Page" - Squeakin' Cheeks on Facebook If you already have...THANK YOU... please go to #3!
#3 Go to your blog or a friend's blog and post a link to this contest! OR go to a forum like "Diaperswappers" and post a link!
#4 Comment to this post telling me what you did and you'll be entered for next Tuesday morning's drawing! (Contest ends at 10AM EST on Tuesday Sept. 14th!)
Thanks!!!! :) Bridget

Free Budgie Bloomer Pattern Contest!
My new shop, "Squeakin' Cheeks", is up and running!!! BUT it'll take a little work to get the word out there, so I'm enlisting the help of all of you!
I'm running a contest! Each week I will be getting entries and chose one winner to receive a free Budgie Bloomer Pattern!
On the right hand side of my blog, make sure to "SUBSCRIBE TO" "posts" to keep track of my updates using the RSS Feed! I'll be reminding everyone each Tues. afternoon or Wed. AM about the upcoming week's contest!
My pattern has directions for 0-3, 3-6, 6-12, 12-18 and 18-24 months AND explains in detail how to figure sizing for ANY size! Once you've knit up a super cute pair of BBloomers, the pattern is clear on how you can knit just shorties, longies, skirted shorties, or just plain bloomers! Many techniques are explained with great photos!
Also included is a fun "coloring" page of bloomers for testing designs out before knitting! Coloring isn't just for kids, ya know ;-)
THE CONTEST! (RULES to follow!)
Every Tuesday @ 10AM, using Random.org, I will chose an entry name! If you are on Ravelry, you can just provide me with your Ravelry name and I will "gift" you a pattern, or you can just send me your email addy and I will send your pdf file there! Any comments received AFTER 10 AM EST on Tuesdays will be an entry for the following week!
I will stop running contests... well... when I see that no one is entering and it's boring! lol
To enter the contest, you must be on Facebook!
Rules of the contest are easy:
1. Become a "follower" of this blog (over on the right side bar!)
and
2. Visit the "Squeakin' Cheeks" Facebook Page and suggest it to at least 5 of your friends!
THEN
3. Come back here and comment and tell me what you did and you'll be entered to win! *I heard from someone trying to enter and she said that her comment wouldn't post. I'm not sure why, but please let me know if you have an issue!!* Please only ONE entry per person! UNLESS you ALSO post about this contest on your blog, a forum, etc. and send me a link showing me that you did! THEN I'll count your comment as TWO entries!
THANKS FOR HELPING!!!! I'll also be posting future "wool" giveaways, so keep your eyes open!! You never know when the mood will strike me to just bless someone with some fluff! I also just LOVE contests, so you never know WHAT I may giveaway!!
SPREAD THE NEWS!!!

Opening Soon!!!
I've recently moved from my old Hyena Cart shop, "The East Side", to my new HC shop, "Squeakin' Cheeks"!
I am finishing up my maternity leave after having baby #6...a sweet girl, named Suri (AKA "Cheeks", nicknamed by my Niece, Haley)
What a blast it's been knitting for my own child, but I miss knitting for others!! It's time to GET BACK TO WORK!!!!
I decided to not only give my shop a facelift, but to also change the name. Since Suri is my 1st solely cloth diapered child AND my first wool-wearer-from-the-start baby, I figured it would only be appropriate to name the shop after her ;-)
So... "Squeakin' Cheeks" has been born and I just listed my first items for sale, my original "Budgie Bloomers" Patterns! I'll be stocking my shop soon with lots of woollies and other items!
Please check back to see what is happening at "Squeakin' Cheeks" and I look forward to working with you all again!
